Walking on Liquid Mirrors

The tidal pools on the beach in Gulfport, Mississippi last year provided a stunning backdrop for observing birds and capturing their reflections. The tranquil pools also created captivating ripples in the water, adding to the scene's visual charm. Caught a fish!

Now it's nom time.
This guy or gal returns to the park every year or I think it's the same one. The hair like feathers of Egrets make make them extra gorgeous.

Ready to Strike

The dogs took me for a walk this morning. I started to take my camera, but I didn't. It turns out that I needed it and didn't have it. There were lots of little birds about. If I'd had my camera, I might have captured an image of a species that I haven't photographed before. Oh well, here is a nice image of a snowy egret (Egretta thula) hunting in a tidal pool at Gulfport, Mississippi.

Spent a day at Oceanside Harbor to distract me from the sorrow over the loss of a beloved pet. It helped a little. There's a lot of wildlife that hangs around there, from sea birds to sea lions. Graceful Reflection

I thought this was a photo of an immature little blue heron, which was what I was searching for through my photo library. But it is a snowy egret (Egretta thula) moving slowly through a tidal pool searching for food. I just posted a photo of one of these egrets a day or so ago. I hope that you're not disappointed.
