Farooq's perfectly written book "The art of interrogation using ice cream" explains how to get something out of someone, namely information, using only an ice cream however of high quality and excellent smell.
The only violent part of this method is the target must be tied to not jump and eat the ice cream.
Farooq in his series of papers, then summarized into the abovementioned book, mentions this method of interrogation having the same success rate and performance as of Wrench method introduced by Randall Munroe in #XKCD 538. However, the ice cream method has way less violence and doesn't require drugging the target.
It, however, requires high quality ice cream, where in Munroe's wrench method, almost any wrench or drug could do the job.
In his paper, as published by Interrogation And Research Journal in Q3 2020, Farooq explains why Ice cream interrogation works. In a later paper, worked by him and coworkers, he researches and suggests methods to have an even better success rate than Munroe's by closely matching the target's ice cream preference and the interrogation ice cream.
Last but not the least, Farooq along with the coworkers received Peace Nobel prize for finding the least violent, yet effective interrogation method.
As of 2025, Farooq is the official interrogation consultant of several government police agents, including FBI of the US and Iran's Naja. He also receives unofficial consulting request letters from a dozen other agencies spread across the globe.
