Es la (casi) única razón de tener la versión MicroG de #LineageOS. Si no, me parece, ni te deja instalar Whatsapp sin servicios de Google. Y si te deja no te llegan las notificaciones.
If you're wondering, my motivation is quite simple. I've really liked NFC payments for years, but it is no longer possible with an Android device that doesn't pass Google's check for Integrity API. I recently switched to #LineageOS on my main smartphone, so this was an easy way to resolve the issue.

Mais si bordel on en a plein des alternatives : les distributions #linux et #bsd et plein d'autres pour remplacer Windows et Mac, #lineageos , #iodeOS , #murena , #sailfish pour remplacer android, et tous pleins de #logicielslibres pour le reste !!
I went on an excursion to see what used smartphone I can get for under €100. Of course I wasn't gonna use the stock firmware with all of the crapware goodies (most likely from Xiaomi), so I had a list of supported devices open from #postmarket_os and #lineageos . Here's what I've memoed:

C'est #lundiRetape : je remplace la batterie de mon téléphone qui a fêté son septième anniversaire récemment. Il marche parfaitement et est à jour avec #LineageOS, par contre l'autonomie de la batterie, ça commençait à devenir pénible (surtout en itinérance). Ça devrait normalement aller mieux ! J'espère qu'il durera encore 7 ans

@kionite231 from what I hear if you try to use an unofficial APK, then from that point onwards WhatsApp will refuse to run on anything but stock unrooted Android. Not quite a blanket ban like you're looking for, but if you use #LineageOS or something it would render WhatsApp unusable.
Unfortunately my guess is the error message will also be something that blames the user (like "please use a standard Android from an authorised distributor") which would defeat the purpose for you 
@gnulinux schöner Artikel. Ich habe ein ähnliches Problem was Zusatzalarmierung angeht. Ich bin auf #lineageos ohne microG. Wir nutzen #DEalarm, hatte das über aurora installiert aber da kam direkt die meldung "kein googleplay, keine lust". Das von alamos wird vermutlich nich klappen, das gepushe läuft da über die google software. Mit microG könnte es klappen. Sms haben wir nicht, es gibt aber PAassist im #izzyondroid repo. Das sieht aus alswiewenns dafür gedacht wäre. Ansonsten: ausprobieren

Mon smartphone est sous #LineageOS v22.1 (android 15) sans microG, et Aurora me propose cette mise à jour.
Je trouve ça étrange parce-que le store ne s'occupe que des apps utilisateur d'habitude.

Received replacement for broken #android phone. As usual, after confirming that it is operational, I am tempted to just clean off the worst bloatware and leave it at that.
After uninstalling the google apps that I could, the #xiaomi "cleaner" app helpfully points out it can clean... 3B (bytes!) of residue. And then it promptly shows me some adsense ads for tiktok. Off to the #lineageos website I go...

I was excited to hear the features, then disappointed to hear it's backed by proprietary libraries from #Gboard, but then excited again to learn this demonstrates the ability to run stuff from #LineageOS and its forks/ancestors without having to run a full-blown emulator! And not a normal app but a integrated subsystem no less 
If #postmarketOS were human, this would be a true #cyborg (in a good way) 
My used Pixel 5 arrived from Back Market. I can't wait to get @LineageOS on it and slowly make it my primary phone.

@fanta Eu non teño Fairphone. Merquei un motorola de segunda man por 40€. Fixate si estaba como novo que inda tiña o plastiquito orixinal da pantalla (aparte de caixa e cargador orixinal). Soamente tivem que cambiar o sistema operativo a #LineageOS con #MicroG (e dicir, sin ningunha das apps de google) para ter un movil actuliazado e con bateria para dous dias mirando series. #consumoResponsable
We need a free/libre fork of #Android for the public commons. Google cannot be trusted.
Maybe that could be #lineageos or #Graphene, but given that they build on top of Android rather than driving the core development, I'm not certain they would be enough as it stands.
