@sohan i’ve been listening to The Bay + Bay Curious podcasts’ Prop Fest coverage on my recent commutes, for a deeper look on all the propositions. the episodes are a bit long for quick hits, but great for full pictures.

Heard on #KQED today. COVID Levels in Bay Area Wastewater Are Now As High as the Winter Peak. #SFBA #COVID19

@annaleen Hey, caught your #KQED #Forum appearance via podcast, on weaponised stories.
I'm a fan of historical context and conceptual modeling. There's a bunch of 1960s/70s CIA hearings and investigative reporting on news manipulation (and blowback). There's also Lasswell's communications model: "Who?", "Says What?", "In What Channel?", "To Whom?", and "With What Effect?". (I like to add "with what intent".)
I suspect you're well aware of these, wish they'd made the discussion, and need to check if you cover any of this in your book.
Great session, though and yes I do plan on reading.
COVID Is Rising in Bay Area Wastewater Again - Carly Severn @teacupinthebay “COVID-19 levels are up across 82% of the sites monitored around the Bay Area. WastewaterSCAN’s Amanda Bidwell told KQED by email that this local rise mirrors a current “upward trend” of COVID-19 wastewater levels nationally over the last three weeks.”#KQED #SFBA #COVID19 https://www.kqed.org/news/11987343/covid-bay-area-wastewater-variant-symptoms-isolation-guidance

OR hear me out, people are not testing themselves correctly
Had 0 issues gettingresults with test that expired in 1/2023 at very early stages of illness
directions show to shove it up your nose when it should be more back & closer towards perpendicular + oral sample
variability of sample collecting differs depending on person so of course this happens
So #SanFrancisco people: is there a good daily (or I’ll settle for weekly) SF news podcast to replace the lost Chronicle podcasts? I already listen to #KQED California Report; what else is there?
"[A reporter from #KQED news] announced that “housing advocates” in #SanFrancisco were pushing […] the mayor’s housing legislation this week.
The reporter quoted one person from Habitat for Humanity, which […] has never been involved in local housing politics and isn’t a member of the Council of Community #Housing Organizations, which has serious problems with the bill.
Nobody from CCHO, from the Race and Equity in All Planning Coalition or from the Anti-Displacement Coalition made the cut."
