I also added a #voltagedivider (two 10k resistances betwen VCC and ground, with the middle connected to the #esp8266 #analog #gpio pin) to measure the battery level, but it seems that the measurement flucuates a lot when the leds are turned on or off, due to the non-trascurable battery internal resistance

To build it, I started with an hexagonal wooden box, already divided in 7 compartments. I needed one compartment for the #esp8266, #speaker, #batteries and #switch, the central one. The external 6 compartment will be illuminated by #rgb leds.

I built this hexagonal #sounds and #lights #electronic #toy for my 9mo #daughter using #esphome, an #esp8266 mcu, an old pc speaker, a limit switch and some #neopixel (-compatible) #leds . It integrates with #homeassistant and can be used both as a #game and as #rgb night #lamp .

A colorful game for babies. It's an hexagonal wooden box with an hexagonal plexiglass window divided in 6 sections, every sections lit with a different colour. A cord comes out from the bottom and terminates in a wooden handle. A piece of rope allows it to be hung.

Hello #homeassistant geeks (more specifically #esphome geeks). I'm facing something new: I need to control some appliances (4 motors and 1 light) with Home Assistant. I was povided with a couple of pricey RF 433mhz remotes that I really don't want to disassemble (so I cannot just solder some bodge wires to the keys pads and connect them to an #ESP8266 ). I need something that can receive, copy and re-send the signals mimiking the original remotes. I don't know anything about RF, don't own an SDR and don't know if the remotes use some kind of rolling code. I've seen there is some support on ESPHome for 433mhz transmitters (https://esphome.io/components/remote_transmitter.html) but it's unclear to me with what hardware.
Anyone can point me in the right direction?

Circles 1/32 is up and running.

I still need to figure out the correct lighting to take better pictures, but that'll wait tomorrow.

Good thing, matrix has 60 columns so I can make some test.
And I like it :)
Definitely needs a 61 columns to get a symmetry.

A horizontal 60x11 leds matrix.
Starting on the first colum, centered on the fifth line, 3 leds are lit every 5 colums (so 12 groups of 3, separated by 4 colums).
The first two groups are cyan, the 3rd is yellow, the others are purple.
On the 5th line, from the 2nd colum, 30 leds are lit blue (overriding the middle led of the first 7 3leds groups).

For the last months I spent my free time renovating a 100+ years old house.

But with today's heat that's not an option, so I'm back working on clocks :)
