La CE sulla base del Digital Services Act (#DSA) ha:
- accertato preliminarmente che #Meta, via #Facebook e #Instagram, non ha fornito agli utenti meccanismi semplici per segnalare contenuti illegali,
- criticato Meta e #TikTok per le procedure che limitano l'accesso dei ricercatori ai dati pubblici.
Per entrambe possibili sanzioni fino al 6% del loro fatturato globale annuo.

@benroyce While true, people also need to vote for the progressive left in the primaries, or people who don’t accept money from far-right AIPAC.

We need to participate in the primaries first and foremost. Vote for any DSA endorsed candidate in the Democratic Party primaries next year. Progressives are popular amongst the youth, and they are going to be the ones that decide 2026 and 2028. #USpol #DSA #progressive

Meta krijgt nog meer tijd voor algoritme-vrije tijdlijn op Facebook en Instagram en zich niet aan de wet te houden.

Meta is ook in hoger beroep gegaan tegen de uitspraak van begin oktober. Dat beroep dient op 26 januari. Ondanks het hoger beroep moet het bedrijf de aanpassingen die door de rechter zijn opgelegd uitvoeren voor het einde van dit jaar.

De toezichthouders houden zich na jaren nog steeds afzijdig.

Interessanter Ansatz.
Nach den bisherigen Erfahrungen mit den europäischen Rechtsakten #DSA und #DMA scheinen die ohnehin nicht die in sie gesetzten Erwartungen zu erfüllen.
Und es erscheint erfolgversprechender die nationalen Gesetze zu nutzen. In Deutschland verstoßen X und andere Plattformen tausendfach gegen das Verbot der #Volksverhetzung (Paragr.130 StGB). Es ist schon lange höchste Zeit, dass wir die Gültigkeit deutscher #Gesetze in Deutschland durchsetzen. #eXit

The two tech giants made unnecessarily difficult to access data and, in Meta’s case, used deceptive interface design that confuses & discourages users from flagging illegal content.
