🌙 Sleep-deprived thoughts...
After a night without sleep, some treadmill time, and lots of thinking, here’s a wild idea: could CS:GO ever be made accessible for blind players? 🎮🤔
It sounds far-fetched, I know, but hear me out. What if there were a mode or addon that used spatial audio to "ping" walls or obstacles (like a sonar effect) and distinct sound cues for player positions? It wouldn’t be the same as how sighted players experience it, but blind gamers have their own ways of navigating fast-paced games.
We already have some incredible audio-based games, and you wouldn’t believe the epic battles we’ve had—all sound, no visuals, just skill and spatial awareness. Making a game like CS:GO accessible might seem impossible, but with the right creativity, who knows?

🕶️ An FPS view where the player - equipped with an automatic rifle, fires at his opponent (also firing at the player) located in a courtyard, at the end of a corridor, in a finely detailed urban environment. 📚️ Counter-Strike 2 (CS:GO 2) is a major technical upgrade to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - the 4th game in the series, and an exclusively multiplayer online and team-based tactical FPS pitting counter-terrorists against terrorists. There's no storyline, just objectives to complete in different game modes (Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, Arms Race, Demolition, Wingman, Retakes and Danger Zone). For example, the team may be tasked with securing a location, planting or defusing a bomb, or rescuing or capturing hostages. At the end of each round, players are rewarded for their individual and team performances.

But hey, my #WindowsXP #Nettop with Atom 330 (2C/4T @ 1,66GHz) & nvidia Ion (Gefore 9400M) Chipset still kicks on #Linux due to it's #amd64-compatibility.

  • In fact I did play #CSGO on 3 years ago (720p lowest).

I guess when @fuchsiii is upgrading her #RetroDesktop to #Windows7 for her #Wine bugfixing she'll likely take that little machine for #XP instead, given most XP games are fine with 3,5 GB RAM (512MB are shared memory for the dGPU of said Chipset...
