I'm having mixed feeling about Matrix lately.
It's awesome that we have an open chat protocol that works and supports most features of other messaging services like Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram or Facebook.
But the only complete server implementation is Synapse, which is slow, clunky to administer, and complicated. Conduit was a great start, but people keep forking it like Pleroma.

Question for the networking folk out there. What's the smallest conduit I can get away with for a short (~15ft) run of OS2 pre-terminated SC/APC fiber? It'll only have a couple of turns, which can be long sweeps. I want to run it through a service cavity that could only accommodate 1" conduit. And then there's the issue of finding an electrical box with 1" knockouts.
It's not my only option, but it is my preferred one if it's possible!

how do you search #matrix instances? almost all public servers are synapse based, but i want #conduit or #conduwuit, and i cant find any. ofc the best server is that you host yourself but i dont want to do that right now
