Lately I've been seeing more and more similarities between dynamics of voters and politicians / political parties within our forms of capitalist democracy and domestic abusive /codependent relationships.
Does anyone know about writing on this? I'm interested in the political, sociological and psychological side of these dynamics.
Suddenly thinking about the influence of Christianity too ...
It’s not yet been a month since I stopped talking to my #family after the election.
Got a text from my mom today asking if there’s time we can talk, “…I feel like that I would at least like to be able to talk to you before this goes any further.”
I gave them several months notice that this would happen prior to the election. I hate the #manipulation and guilt. There was no apology in the text. More of the same. I don’t think I’m ready to open this door.
You're not supposed to hate Cain the story. You're supposed to look at him through the eyes of a grieving mother who believed that he was the answer to all her problems.
You can relate to Eve, because we've all put our trust in something and had it fall apart on us.
Can anyone recommend any books on #codependency / #codependence that don't mention the 12 Steps, God, or a higher power?
It doesn't feel like it should be a big ask, but every list I can find has this one book at the top that opens with a Bible quote... :D
