If you think these people have made the world safer by that ruling in the Supreme Court, you have a problem with reality.<br>There are many babies born every year with extra or less chromosomes - not XX or XY. Some have female genitalia but male chromosomes, others have male genitalia but female ones. The ruling is dangerous, scientifically ignorant, and will cost lives; it also makes some newborns non-persons, as their physical appearance does not match a designated simplistic male/female idea. Under this ruling they will be unable to correct this.<br>And don’t come at me with ‘it’s only about trans people’. It’s absolutely not. It is literally no-ones business, except that person and their associates.<br>How many suicides will satisfy Rowling/Galbraith? Yesterday, the P’urhépecha municipality of Cherán, Michoacán, celebrated 14 years of autonomy. It began on April 15, 2011, when a group of women blocked cartel-linked illegal loggers from removing trees from the community. This act sparked a mass uprising that saw the community reclaim its territory, establishing barricades, 179 permanent bonfires, a form of autonomous government rooted in P’urhépecha forms of communal organization, and expelling the cartels, police, and political parties.
