@shlee What do we expect from a platform owned by #JeffBenzos?
@chad EVERYTHING IS "#POLITICAL"!
Even "#apoliticalness" is a political statement which can either mean:
"I'm such a privilegued asshole that even in the worst case I'll be fine!"
and/or
"My government will kill me if I were honest so I refuse to comment!"
and/or
"I'm fucking overwhelmed by this shit and need to timeout for my sanity sake!"
It is that simple really.
@rooster #FAFT: Everything is #political!
@standingpad Arbiter Voice "Were it so easy..."
Because everything is #political and #apoliticalness outside of a tyrannical-facist dictatorship nor essential self-care is a privilegue, because one's right to exist isn't "debated"...
@gerrymcgovern #FACT: Everything is #political, and #apoliticalness is - outside of terror and torture regimes like #KSA, #Russia and "P.R." #China - an admission to being either a coward or completely overwhelmed by the world's #Enshittification!
@onrust everything is #political - even #apoliticalness!

@niccolove How about making a video saying the #InvoncenientTruth:
#Apoliticalness is a #political statement and it can only mean one of the followings:
1. One is in support of opression and capitalism.
2. One is suffering under lethal opression by the government they're [currently] stuck under.
And only the latter one is valid and only valid to people suffering opressive regimes like KSA, Iran, "P.R." China, Russia and North Korea...
@zachleat @eleventy also everything is #political!
Even #apoliticalness is a political statement, and it can only mean two things:
1. "A honest opinion would endanger me and/or my beloved ones." (i.e. Iran, KSA, "P.R." China, Russia, ...)
or
2. "I'm an asshole with unlikeable shit takes but too cowardly to admit it because I'd face accountability and consequences then!" (All those consequence-free "FreezePeach" fans)...
@linear Everything is #political!
Espechally #Apoliticalness:
Either it's a public admission one's fearing for their life,
OR
One's a comfy coward and does believe that bootlicking facists will benefit them longterm.
These are the only valid options in that regard.
@ricardoharvin #Apoliticalness is a #political #statement, and it has only two options:
1.
"Live in a facist policestate and I don't want my family and myself to be forcibly disappeared for speaking my mind!" [i.e. in North Korea and "P.R." China]
or
2.
"I'm a naive bootlicker and I want to profiteer from opression!" [i.e. #USA, #EU & most of the world]...
@aral EXACTLY THAT!
Unless one literally lives in a tyrannical dictatorship where free speech is punished wirh forced disappearance, torture and murder (North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Turkey, "P.R." China) "#apoliticalness" is at best a sign of #cowardice and #lazyness if not consent to violent tyranny, unless one literally had to disconnect for mental health reasons due to one's existance being declared debatable (i.e. as for neurodivergent, trans* and nonbinary people)...
@KimCrayton1 exactly: #apoliticalness is #consent by #silence to #opression.
No matter what (marginalized) group is being opressed.
Instead of claiming to be "#apolitical" I'd expect people to be honest and confess that they don't give a f**k because they aren't being affected...
But that would require them to be honest and willing to accept the foreseeable and justified consequences of being an egoistic & antisocial asshole.
