I like to walk with students outside (usually on campus, though sometimes up by the lake), rather than meeting them in my office. I started this before COVID because I think walking is good for thinking and it also can eliminate some of the awkardness of sitting in an office. But now with COVID it also means that we are less likely to transmit the virus. And it also means I can usually have the dog with me, which most students like.
