Scrivener for chapters
Export to MS Word, save at 22points, double or triple space
Export to ReMarkable tablet (pdf)
Read, review, take notes, edit
Back to Scrivener on one screen, ReMarkable on the other and copy the notes over.
Read, repeat, edit until no more changes
Complicated, yes, efficient, also yes

#WritingCommmunity I had a beta reader comment that my writing had markedly improved from my first book, which they had liked as well. I agree, just in the last 6 months I’ve learned so much about the craft of writing and myself as a writer. What I’m doing now is so much better than what I did last year.
I don’t regret publishing my first book, I needed to see how it felt. But now I want to take it back and “fix” it. Maybe best to leave it alone though, as THE FIRST.
One of my goals this year is to read more self published books, so respond here if you’ve got something I should read!
I’m not a high fantasy, sword and sorcery fan. Ditto for Dune style sci-fi. I am awed at the skill required to write it but don’t enjoy reading it right now.
I am currently enjoying magical realism, upbeat sci-fi, urban fantasy and HEA Romance. I do love horror, specifically paranormal horror.

I have a few questions to ask you in regards to writing that you can make a living off, while also battling depression and anxiety.
1. How do you manage to write while also struggling with your mental health?
2. How can you write and ask your editor and publisher for time to deal with your mental health? (I ask this because I want to be a published writer but the fear of having a deadline really makes it challenging for me to commit.)
3. Can you survive on writing if you require a lot of time off?
I started drafting for a new historical horror submission call ... It‘s a tough one with high standards. Wish me luck!
