Würde wahnsinnig gerne in diesem Leben einmal »Travesties« (1974) von #TomStoppard sehen. Egal ob live oder Konserve. Soweit ich weiß, ist aber nie eine Aufführung aufgezeichnet oder für’s TV inszeniert worden.
Ich hoffe ja schwer, dass ›National Theatre Live‹ da mal eine bringt. »Hard Problem«, »Rosenkrantz & Güldenstern« und »Leopoldstadt« gab’s in den letzten Jahren schon.

Wenige Filme haben sich so tief in mein Gedächtnis gegraben, wie dieses Meisterwerk von Terry Gilliam. Für mich, damals auf Augenhöhe mit Ridley Scotts „Bladerunner (1982)“, hat er, als filmische Dystopie, mein Verständnis von Totalitarismus nachhaltiger geschärft, als fast alles, was nach ihm kommen sollte. Und lieben konnte ich ihn auch. Deshalb gehört das Wort hier dem Meister selbst… (ZDF)

@JamesGleick That usage dates back to #JonathanMiller, medical doctor and member of #BeyondTheFringe, who was frequently asked, as you might expect for a funny doctor, "Are you Jewish," and would then respond "I'm Jew-ish." The phrase was taken up by #TomStoppard, who emigrated from the Czech Republic as a child, until he found out, only as an adult, that he was in fact Jewish and had lost family in the camps, the subject of his play "#Leopoldstadt," now running on Broadway.
