Oooh, the clocks changed last night, didn't they?

I wondered why I'd awoken late this morning. It wasn't because I was super tired, but because we're stuck using an archaic time system that benefits nobody in the days of super powered LED lights.

Also, now everything's digital and does it itself, there's no, "is it this week they change?" conversations any more.

Spring Forth

Standing watch over Pittsburgh’s changing skyline, this monument speaks of endurance, ambition, and the echoes of history. The light catches the laurels just so, a reminder that the city’s past is never too far from its present. I understand people hate the DST switch. Personally, I don't mind it. We had a dog who passed away last year who would get up at the first sign of twilight. On the summer solstice here in Seattle, without DST that would be at 3:30 am and that's far too early to be getting up.
