got Kiwix (offline Wikipedia reader) running on my 21-year-old PC running Slackware 13.37 via:

* The archive[1]. 0.10 works with 2020-07 Wikipedia but not 2023-09. They also have an updated XP build, but iirc it required SSE2 and uses JS

* Internet In a Box[2]. 3.1.2-5 is the latest without an illegal instruction error. 2025-01 Wikipedia works but the rendering is jacked up on older Firefox/SeaMonkey

I've continued to play with Caldera 1.1 since my install stream last night. I've got AT&T VNC going (TightVNC wouldn't build due to a too-old zlib), and I've installed StarOffice and a couple games.

Chat challenged me to get Doom running on it. I'm gonna see if I can find the original 1.10 Linux release; I bet it'd work!

This German punchable card, from Hummel and labelled Wareneingang und Rechnung KA 231, has a field for a signature.

Whoever designed it must have had superhuman restraint to withstand the temptation to add fields for a letterhead and a stamp.

Looking good! The #Atari #130XE boots successfully! Here it is running FujiNet. I've discovered the function keys don't work, so I'll pop it open again to see if I can figure that out. My first #retrocomputing #repair!

This is a lovely compact retrocomputing setup, compared to my Atari 800 and JVC PVM in the home office.
