While #Trump is illegally ignoring Supreme Court decisions in order to advance his #fascist agenda, #PierrePoilievre, as Prime Minister, would seek to use, for the first time ever by the federal government, the Canadian Constitution's #NotwithstandingClause in order to end what he calls "#WokeCulture" in the #PublicService and in the #military.

But he denies being a "mini-Trump"

The meeting was a potential turning point after the frenetic first weeks of #Trump’s 2nd term. It yielded the first significant indication that Trump is willing to put some limits on #Musk, whose efforts have become the subject of several lawsuits & prompted concerns from #Republican lawmakers, some of whom have complained directly to Trump.

Something I’m glad to have completed this week: a scramble to put together a draft of a from-the-ground-up brand spanking new procedure manual for my whole department.

When it’s completely finished it’s going to be an enormous binder with lots of sections and fiddly bits and include everything needed to completely grok everything everyone does every day. Because cross training means they have to know and be able to do it ALL.

This comment really resonates with me: "so many of them [the people recently fired] took these lower paying jobs, because they wanted to do work they felt actually helped people. You don't often think of government work and passion as things that go together, but there really are people out there that care."

People as an essential part of infrastructure - which in this case happens to be infrastructure provided by government; infrastructure - which includes the people delivering it - as a service.
