You thought they were just keepers of the quiet. Guardians of the “shhh.”
The ones who handed you a dusty book and pointed to a beanbag chair.

I'm pretty open about being a #librarian fanboy. They're super heros. They really are. And my librarian she says what they're doing now is using Hoopla for access to some of those titles because Hoopla is a private company that holds their own collection and referring people there. The government can't regulate that and Hoopla sells by access not by title. So it's all or nothing. But they still hide things. I was not able to change my name on my #library card because it's #goodfriday and they're closed. But they will be open Stinky Saturday, the day in which #jesus farted. That is a cool thing about #texas libraries I LOVE. They will not close on religious holidays unless they HAVE to. And many are open 7 days a week. The #librarians in this damned state are fucking #anarchists I love it.

I've been touring every local #library in the PGH Carnegie library system and getting my library passport stamped. Then posting about that and telling folks delightful stories about my adventures and encouraging them to *just use the library* because they get funding based on circulation.
