I'm happy to announce that I have successfully migrated our Pixelfed instance to a new server! This means that NixOrigians will experience faster performance and improved usability.
However, I did encounter some issues during the migration process which caused our instance to be almost unusable for 24 hours. Unfortunately, I was not able to migrate all user profile pictures to our new storage system. This is because these images were stored locally instead of using S3 due to a known bug in Pixelfed.
Also, users may experience some difficulties with image editing functionality due to incorrect URLs. But don't worry, posting new photos will still work correctly.
I want to assure you that I am actively working on resolving this issue, and I appreciate your patience during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
