Do I know anyone who's ever tried to capture an ARM-based #apple #Mac using a capture card? I am running into the dreaded #HDCP issues that seem to be common with these and google's failing me for a solution.
Does using a #HDMI splitter still work for these cases or is there some kind of fancy tool to just disable HDCP for the duration? I'm not planning on capturing copyrighted material, it's just that this is on by default universally on macs for ... a reason that escapes me but I'm sure is very forward-thinking, magical and revolutionary. #streaming #contentCreation #hacks

Ethereum prices are falling today after Bybit was hacked, with more than $1.4 billion worth being stolen. The crypto exchange's CEO Ben Zhou confirmed the attack but told customers that it will be able to manage the loss. "Bybit is solvent even if this hack loss is not recovered," he wrote on X. This presentation is delightful. The story is that companies doing #wifi don't like it when people use the devices to communicate directly. They absolutely hate when they're not in the way, mediating the connections. They hate it so much that they amputated wifi protocols and implementations to make sure they're in that position.

Except someone didn't find that acceptable and was determined and hacked a way through it. And gave us the code. Heartwarming.
