Despite #BoyScoutsOfAmerica having female #youth members since 1969 in the #Exploring program and (almost) fully welcoming girls into all #Scouting programs several years ago, the #BSA is finally changing its name to match who it serves.

On February 8, 2025, the organization becomes "Scouting America." Yay for finally changing the name, but really? Why not "Scouting USA?"

Scouts in Lexington, MA worked on their Radio Merit Badge and Electronics Merit Badge. I was lucky enough to assist.

We partnered with New England Sci-Tech in Natick, MA. They are a technology and maker space that serve youth in the area.

Some rainy day field operations here in Gilmanton, NH. We're getting some Scouts on the air.

Set up a scheduled radio session with another Scoutmaster in Southern NH. We were able to get a few Scouts on the air and working the field radio on 40 meters via ground wave propagation.
