I installed Arch Linux onto a 128 GB USB stick. You may think "So, what?" but this has been incredibly useful.

I can use this system to do all sorts of data migration shenanigans and it will remember all my settings. Whenever I need access to the data on a different machine, I just plug it in.

Not sure if my issue around not having any Wi-Fi today on my Z16 ThinkPad running #archlinux is related to archlinux.org/news/linux-firmw, but my #mediatek mt7921e chipset is not recognized anymore. 🫤

There are no matching files in `/lib/firmware/mediatek/` even though I just uninstalled and reinstalled `linux-firmware`, reinstalled `linux-firmware-mediatek` (to be sure), and rebuilt all kernels with `mkinitcpio -P`. 🤔

I'm trying to install a #Linux distro on it via YUMI, but thus far the only one that boots is #archlinux and that hasn't got a GUI - I would have to configure it myself and that's beyond my current capabilities.

However, I just successfully booted #PeppermintOS from a single distro USB stick made with #Rufus. This seems to be the way to go.

MacOS users: "It's been 12 months of endless waiting... a new OS version finally drops tomorrow."
Me on Arch Linux: `pacman -Syu` every week, sometimes daily—my system's always on the bleeding edge.

While they're counting down, I'm already living in tomorrow.

Okay guys, I want to switch my mini-pc to #linux. I want a lightweight distro, because I like when things are lightweight by default.
At this point I have noticed 3 distros:
