[OT] Using mailing list as an issue tracker, isn't it too extreme?
@kmicu For sight impairments, E-mail must be definitely better than Bugzilla. 😀
@kmicu How do people follow only some threads using mailing list?
@veer66 That is an excellent question, but I do not have a good answer. I know that Gnus, Mutt and Thunderbird have ignore feature¹, but I do not know whether there is a general (not related to a specific Mail User Agent) and friendly way to do that.
You could follow only some threads by filtering out everything else, but setting up a filter regex in your MUA is not as convenient as Subscribe feature on centralized platforms.
@veer66 no, it is not too extreme and the biggest open source project (Linux kernel) does that too.
That way is also more accessible to folks with poor Internet connection (email servers retry delivery; you do not need to be online all the time) or sight impairments (because everything is a searchable text that is readable with a screenreader).

PS Do not trust me. Mailing lists is one of the reasons why I moved from Nix(OS) to Guix(SD)
