How is it that my husband can fall asleep seconds after his head hits the pillow?! It takes me at least an hour. It used to take a couple hours, but then I discovered melatonin. It doesn't help that I have tinnitus. I've never really been a good sleeper, though. I have trouble turning my brain off.
@feb2772 I'm like you. It's always been difficult for me to get to sleep, my brain won't shut off. And the tinnitus I've developed has made it much worse.
@shatteredgears Sorry to hear you have tinnitus too. It is the worst! I would pretty much give anything to not have it.
@feb2772 The results of getting older, and having worked around jet aircraft for a couple years. You would think you'd get used to it, but nope.
@feb2772 Mine gets worse if I'm in a noisy environment for more than an hour or two. The new "open office plan" BS was pure hell until I got permission to work from home. I wouldn't notice it until I went somewhere quiet, like home, and then it was 3x worse for at least 12 hours.
@shatteredgears Mine does that too. :(
