Given that mastodon nodes *aren't* usually run by a corp with a lot of money, are they more susceptible to shake down by large entities (e.g. the US government) than Twitter?

Looks like it might be hosted by OVH, though. If that's true, wonder if in a hypothetical scenario if the US could compel company with presence in US and France to turn over servers in France.
@seabre I know some big US companies managed to keep the US government out from their european servers for some time. So if I had to take a wild guess, i'd say the americans would have a hard time getting data from OVH (i hope at least).
@seabre What might help is the fact that mastodon instances are disseminated all over the globe. For example the US government will have a hard time coercing an owner living in spain or even russia.
