The attr() upgrades in Chrome 133 are giving me hope.
@anybox Liking the app so far but why are you requiring the command or control key for shortcuts?
One thing that drives me *bonkers* about tech culture is teaching designers that the bureaucracy is more important than the output — journey maps, documentation, multiple iterations, user research etc etc. All of these are fine tools but the goal is a good product and you can spend months producing mountains of all these design artifacts and *still* end up with junk.
My niece is the best artist ever.. She painted this from a photo of my dog, Rebel, that I took when he was a puppy. So awesome.
Merry Christmas internet.
Why doesn't Apple get rid of the home bar when using an iPad as a display with a Mac? Seems obvious to me that it should at least be an option.
Mastodon isn't perfect.
But the fact a social network exists that is completely free to use
has no venture capital investors
has no shareholders to answer to
has no growth targets
with a web interface with zero tracking cookies
and mobile apps with zero trackers at all
with ten thousand server administrators who donate their time for user safety
is - in my opinion - mindbogglingly cool, given the state of the world we live in. Not everything has to be shit. People make things better.
The Superman & Lois finale was one of the best I've ever seen. An end of an era.
Shrinking is so so good. I would pay for AppleTV+ just to watch it alone. Highly recommend.
@ivory With Bluesky's momentum have you guys considered updating Ivory to support it as well or creating a new app?
Please, use the `for` attribute on labels so input value can be changed by clicking on label as well: https://codepen.io/thebabydino/pen/XejRbo/
Before bringing up wrapping the input in the label, please read https://www.tpgi.com/should-form-labels-be-wrapped-or-separate/
Thanks.
https://www.joshwcomeau.com/css/has/ is a great guide on CSS :has() with a lot of use cases and arguments for its use over other pseudo selectors and methods.
We figured out the greenhouse effect closer to the start of the Industrial Revolution than to today

one welcome change in ios 18: now when you reply “STOP” to stop political junk, you can ALSO then report as junk/block.
(before, replying with anything at all would remove the report button. cc @gruber )
Something to add to your CSS reset from now on:
```
:root {
interpolate-size: allow-keywords;
}
```
It enables things like transitions from `height: 0` to `height: auto`.

Awesome first episode of From season 3. I can't recommend this show enough.
A new report found that the for-profit US healthcare system ranks last among peer nations.
We spend twice as much per capita on healthcare and have the worst health outcomes.
Reminder that Medicare For All would save $450B in health care costs and 68,000 lives per year.
FYI, for those of you who upgraded to macOS Sequoia and are having WiFi issues. Try disabling Little Snitch. I had to disable it in the Network > Filter settings to get WiFI working reliably again.
