Live tech (LFRT) poses significant and unmitigable risks to our society. That's why we've united with 30 CSOs in an open letter to call for a ban on the use of LFRT in the UK:

PI together with 30 CSOs are calling for a complete ban on the use of live technology. @CollegeofPolice and @ukhomeoffice should not issue national guidance for the use of LFRT without there being proper Parliamentary scrutiny first:

. @cipesaug joined us and 9 other organisations to tell @TECNOMobile to make changes to protect their users.

Find out more about why on their website:

Glad to see the @WHO shares our concerns that there could instances of exclusion and discrimination if different types of vaccination certificates, i.e. paper-based or digital, are given different value, trust and recognition.

In its guidance for the deployment of Covid-19 vaccination certificates @WHO outlines how governments should consider safeguards, protections & risks associated.

But it also leaves them a lot of discretion which is why we are concerned 👉 More here:

Our latest research shows how a *NEW* phone we bought in Uganda is running an 8-year-old version of Android with multiple critical vulnerabilities.

If you purchase a lower cost phone in East Africa there's a strong chance that it's a TECNO phone. But here's what you should know before you buy one..

We've repeatedly called for an impact assessement to be done prior to deployment of any digital solution and for it to inform decisions.

We're glad to see the @WHO putting the emphasis on the obligation of gov'ts to do so in their guidance for Covid-19 vaccination certificates.

@WHO highlights in guidance that processing of data for deployment of Covid-19 vaccination certificates should:
✅be fair & non-discriminatory
✅respect the legitimate interests of individuals & groups concerned
✅have a lawful basis
✅should comply with human rights standards
