Nextcloud 📱☁️💻

Our 400+ apps ecosystem just got a boost with Nextcloud Hub 9! 🚀

Get a tour of Nextcloud Hub's growing app ecosystem: from apps to Microsoft integrations, and new partners like Dovecot, Mailvelope, and Stalwart.
We've also brought upgrades to our developer tools, making it easy for developers to build new native Nextcloud apps and integrate them with our Open Collaboration Services API. 🎉

@nextcloud would be nice to have "old" things still working. Notes app for android is broken, roundcube app is not even available anymore on modern nextcloud, fediverse integration "social"-app is broken.. :neocat_sad:

Me checks to see if @nextcloud 's videos are finally being boosted onto an open video network after years of pointing out the hypocrisy... aaaaaand nope.

I'll pass. I don't feel like being extra surveilled today by Google, thanks.

@gelbphoenix

Thanks, but for Google linking my viewing back to me via my IP address is trivial. It also doesn't help to grow an alternative to YouTube.

#Nextcloud keeps claiming that they value #decentralization, #privacy and #OpenSource, and yet have refused for years to support any video option that embodies those values, even when options have been given that would be completely free, such as auto-mirroring to conf.tube (which I even offered to set up free of charge).

Thanks anyway!

@nextcloud
I for one regard it inappropriate that nextcloud doesn't publish their videos barrier free, at least additionally. We have video services without tracking! Ever heard of #Peertube?

@nextcloud I realize that most of those apps are developed by a single person in their free time and I'm highly appreciative of that so it's their free choice to stop supporting their app. And I've encountered many such apps in the past in the app store. That makes me wonder, are all of those 400 apps compatible with nextcloud hub 9? Or are those that say compatible with nextcloud 28 also counted here?
