Another day, another data leak. They're on a roll, it seems... So is this simply because Facebook is a huge company? Or is protecting user data simply not important enough?

I can't remember where I read it, but one article quoted a Facebook employee as saying that Zuckerberg and Sandberg view Facebook's problems as a PR issue more than anything else. They don't move more on the technical side because they think it's just a matter of getting everyone else to calm down and forget about it.

@nextcloud I think there are several reasons.
1. Money - You can be sure they are selling the data to someone.
2. Protecting data is not as important as making money.
3. Facebook has a political agenda that it is promoting.
