as a sanity check i'm logging off till tomorrow morning. coincidentally i'm seeing a psych about my adhd tomorrow. it's weird, for a few weeks i was doing alright with work/responsibilities, since i didn't have BotW distracting me anymore, but mastodon has totally flared up my inability to focus for more than 3 seconds. it feels like my brain finds a new chew toy and won't let go, but i'm really overwhelmingly grateful i have health insurance rn and can get help for it.

@live that's rad dude it's very difficult to reach out and get help because of how stigmatized it is but you're making the right steps.

@aemarc yeah i also am a recovering addict and it's the same thing, lots of people are like "dude, just stop." but a surprising number of people get it too

@live that absolutely sucks. just keep reaching out if you struggle. there's communities/people out there.

@live checking out and prioritizing mental health is so important dude, glad you're able to do that for yourself.

@live dude this is literally 100% exactly me as well. im glad you are in a position to get help!

@live drink fluids. Come back soon dude

@live the actual problems: the shit healthcare system, the shit priceless chunks of your life for food and shelter system, the psych industry which pathologizes a natural human variation that's only dysfunctional in a shit system

@bitbyte 100% agreed but the way i see it, every person throughout history has to navigate the shit system they are born into, so i'm not some unique victim, also i'm fairly lucky to enjoy my job when i am able to do it (which is most of the time). but its totally a product of capitalism

@live Just never forget that experimenting and playing are severely important. It's not "time wasted"

@bitbyte every shitpost i make is a savored moment in my life

@live Good luck. I know the feeling. Tight regimen to stay sane.
