Insert standard disclaimer that I have a legally purchased cartridge. Also a side note that at this point, in at least my humble opinion, Zelda ought to be considered culturally and historically significant enough to warrant freedom to study..if not open sourced as EOL..
@klaatu Yeah, I was hoping that the answer would be something like "it's now openly archived with all the other old Nintendo games". But unfortunately that's not the world we live in...
@jonne Sadly no. There is a really cool open Zelda engine called Solarus that I considered using but ultimately we decided that the original better serves the purpose of showing kids...well, history.
That doesn't mean I'm not gonna mess around with the open engine, though, now that I've discovered it.

Last year, while recovering from my back surgeries, I played the second quest. I never played it as a kid, but it is much better than the first quest if you have any skill at the game. I highly recommend it.
