A few days ago I opened up my RSS reader and saw a post by Eric S. Raymond titled Stop whining and get the job done. After reading his post and hearing what he is doing I wanted to share my story.

Awesome! Congratulations! I started many years ago, step by step, milestone by milestone. Gradually went from 230 to 175 (my lowest) to 180 (my current weight). Like technology, weight maintenance is a constant thing that one must continue to work on to maintain that goal and stay fresh, of you will.

There's a lot more involved, of course, but basically that frame of mind.

@claudiom Congratulations on the weight loss and keeping it off! You are correct, there is always maintenance in both code and health.
