@johl The Magazine in the Middle Attack.
@johl this is dumb. The assholes added the reporter, he didn't tap their phones.
@ToweroftheArchmage @johl
That's right , it was their dumb attempt to cover their asses, not realizing or simply didn't care how much they were going to be ridiculed by anyone who has a basic surface level understanding how e2e works.
They absolutely deserved to be mucked for this, since they are the biggest security vulnerability themselves.
@ToweroftheArchmage @johl It still made me chuckle, though. :)
@ToweroftheArchmage @johl This is smart. They applied current news to a slightly related concept in a novel way which tickled my funny bone.
@ToweroftheArchmage @delsehi I honestly cannot find an example of members of the administration claiming that the reporter tapped phones. Do you have a link?
@ToweroftheArchmage @delsehi Okay, wow. This is ridiculous as a communication strategy.
Don't tell Barthelemy! ( sorry, this is a french comics joke, about a character in the comics "Philemon" that is very niche even among french speaking people. Basically, Barthelemy is an old hermit trying to return to the letter A of Atlantique were he lived for a time with a centaure. It's a weird comics. )
@johl Perhaps the DOD opsec guide to avoid this situation had the word "privilege" in it, and the whole thing got deleted?
@johl muß da nicht noch irgendwo bruce schneier rein?
