Knocked Up, dir. Judd Apatow
on first viewing i thought this movie stupid and bad. but as i grew older and wiser and explored this auteur's repertoire more fully i came to see that when viewed alongside This Is 40, knocked up is in fact an elaborate ploy designed by Apatow to enact his deeply repressed fantasy of being cucked by Paul Rudd. it is therefore smart and good.
