"Senior JavaScript Developer, Berlin or Remote (EU-only)"

Hi @jcbrand

Out of curiosity, do you know why they ask for #EU-only remote staff?

Just because I employ both EU and ex-EU contractors and administration-wise, it doesn't make any real difference. No doubt it'll be different with employees but I'm not up to date with remote working employment law.

I didn't expect you would but thought I'd ask anyway, cheers!

Anyone with experience of this?

@Unknown most likely it is an HR efficiency hack. They don't want to sieve through thousands of Indian etc. applications. In effect it is somewhat racist to do so, but on average it works if you want higher quality applicants with less HR work. But they have to formulate it in a way that it doesn't sound too discriminating.
