Locating a lost phone (partner's) on silent mode using WiFi signal strength (with router stats), using the exact same model of phone (mine) placed throughout the apartment as a reference.
It only occurred to me to try this router-based method after a long time manyally searching everywhere.
I then isolated where it probably would be and she found it a couple minutes afterward.
Next time, this'll be the first step. 😉
Wow. MTV is now showing the Nirvana episode of MTV Unplugged. It's the _first_ episode of Unplugged. So classic.

TV has a bunch of Christmas movies at the moment... but...
...BUT...
MTV is actually playing music! They're doing an MTV Unplugged marathon!
And they have Max Raabe, who is an old timey type singer, right now. And they're pairing him up with a bunch of people and having lots of fun throughout the show. (Including everyone doing shots.)
They just had Max Raabe and *Mr. Lordi*, a Finnish heavy metal singer...

Interesting analysis, although I think it's hard to draw conclusions from the correlations. A lot of the causes are probably social/organizational rather than technical (e.g. X library is older, so it tends to be in older, more gnarly codebases).
Dear web developers and admins,
please stop embedding Google's hideous #ReCaptcha into your websites. Its algorithm is faulty, forcing regular users to click dozens or even hundreds of fire hydrants, bicycles, or traffic lights each day. It puts a 'suspicious activity' flag on users who won't obey to Google's business model - such as people who don't sign into Chrome, use anonymity VPNs, or use browser extensions to suppress common tracking mechanisms. Enough is enough. Stop it.
