A lot of small farmers reuse old clothes washers to spin and dry their greens. We don't have space for such a thing on our small urban plot, so I made this stupid thing. Total cost: $0.00.

There is a game theory scenario I keep coming back to, because I feel it is so often experienced when nice people are trying to coordinate around slight preferences.

Unfortunately, it was initially coined as 'Battle of the Sexes', imagining a hetero couple where the guy wants to watch boxing and the girl ballet 😴

Since the early 90's, people have instead been calling it 'Bach or Stravinsky'.

Should I move the wikipedia page? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_o Anyone got advice on doing that?

Finishing projects (even if they aren't great) is extremely important because it gives you a chance to practice and hone the skills that only get used at the end of a project.

Like surface finish for a diy project, making sure your song is mastered and loud enough for music.

My mind keeps linking these two facts together:

• Only 28% of patients are able to complete the list of their symptoms without being interrupted by their physician. (Cf. Marvel, M K et al. “Soliciting the patient's agenda: have we improved?.” JAMA vol. 281,3 (1999))

• Victor Lustig, the fraudster who “sold” the Eiffel Tower, listed “being a patient listener” as the first commandment of con men.

Let's not be surprised if people who are in distress shun the doctors and turn to quacks.

Do any of you have resources you'd recommend for learning about how to design digital user interfaces for data entry / collection in the field?
