I remembered how wikipedia is pretty much the galactic source of truth, and what's written there matters. I'm also quite involved with how people (esp. voluntary, bottom-up collectives) make decisions.
The CDM article gets 300+ page views per day, and spikes with occupations, etc: it's being used. It needs some improvements, and I don't want to do them alone!
Message me, or see you on wiki!
@pperrin eee! I'm new there, and the policies, culture and hierarchies seem like a minefield. I don't think I can help you :( were you permanently suspended?
@douginamug I put in an appeal - but as I understand it these are picked up 'ad hoc' by editors, which very rarely happens. Presumably they may also meet the wrath of the original blocker who may block them. The person did seem to be a total dick - blocking someone for disagreeing on a page discussion page is the act of a totalitarian moron...
Probably best out of it!
Cheers
@douginamug If you can get me unsuspended I may be able to help. I disagreed with some editor on a page *discussion* page and they suspended me...
