This house has thick walls, so in addition to the WiFi on the broadband router, I have connected two more access points via cat5. The secondary points are in 'bridging mode', with static addresses, all with the same WiFi SSID/key.
I can seamlessly connect to each point in turn using android, iOS, windows, Linux devices.
But we have a 'smart tv' that is only happy connecting to one of the access points, and an Android phone that is only happy connecting to the other, any clues?
@brunopostle quite the setup you have, my brother has something similar. he uses lots of switches
@keed I think I might have a 24 port switch in a box somewhere, but really all I want to do is be able to sit in a different room from teenagers
