@polymerwitch I would read a guide to AWS services based on their relation to kitten pics.
S3: store your kittens
EC2: server to share the kittens
Route 53: help web browsers to find the kittens
BeanStalk: simplified herding of your kittens
@areyoutoo @polymerwitch route 53: convert kitten names to current locations
@areyoutoo @polymerwitch Glacier: You stopped feeding your cat months ago. It's probably fine.
@areyoutoo @polymerwitch
rds: it's hard finding the specific kitten you want. Let's look it up by combinations of attributes.
redshift: I've got a LOT of kittens okay? like so many kittens rds can't handle the questions I'm asking
dynamo: let's look up everything we know about that kitten by a unique identifier, but if we get old news about a kitten sometimes, it's fine.
elasticache: lookup by name, but I want my most frequently looked-at cats in memory for fast retrieval
@areyoutoo @polymerwitch IAM: I'm gonna lock y'all out of this and keep the kittens for myself
