you ever have those days when you want to just throw caution to the wind quit your old life and become a database administrator
@Xibanya We didn't choose the DBA life, the DBA life chose us!
@Xibanya I was for a while. Trying to fix a database instance over a lagging connection was no joke, especially when you're checking the number of records that have been affected by a fix you just ran. Imagine mistyping 'count' without one crucial letter, with your boss watching over your shoulder, while also imagining someone at the client end looking on.
*fan sits in corner, anticipating something...*
*laughs*
@Xibanya No. I have literally never had a day like that. Possibly because I have administered databases. Which made me want to throw caution to the wind, quit my old life, and become the guy who works the late night Taco Bell drive thru window and smokes a lot of weed.
@Xibanya you rebel, you!
@Xibanya I, too, have intense feelings of self-loathing.
