You know what OS never seems to fail me? Let's recount: I install a BSD to a separate hard drive...my linux EFI files go screwy and can't boot Slackware....I upgrade my BIOS....my EFI files go screwy and can't boot Void (got tired of hacking around Pulseaudio so switched)...I try TrueOS and I end up with an upgrade loop...I try FreeBSD and something happens to a boot environment...I even try OpenIndiana...installs fine...won't boot...I have no time for this...OpenBSD always works
Factory reset of my phone (and reinstall of latest LineageOS nightly) makes me think the top of the replacement-screen I used is the problem :/
On the other hand, no longer have Google Play etc but F-droid and Yalp :D
Hey folks garbage.fm released an episode! Check out the number 1 #OpenBSD podcast. Glad to see them back after a 7 month break.
@aemarc the world is bad.
With so many Tech YouTuber friends having YouTube troubles... wonder if we should create a dedicated tech nerd (Linux, Computers, Science, etc.) MediaGoblin site for us all...
Jonesing for some good #BSD conference videos.
For people hosted here, on mastodon.xyz, you may not know...
Our instance is managed by @TheKinrar who is a young student, with probably no income to pay for the server.
He did open a patreon, here : https://patreon.com/TheKinrar but it is really not optimal.
He is also an early contributor to the mastodon network, at least with the still active list of instances, used as a source for various stats.
He does deserve some support form us :)
Generic author landing page deployed.
Plus, updated my FAQ.
My most frequently given answer is "no," with a little bit of "fuck you pay me" in there.
This is true for scientists as well. https://opensource.com/article/17/5/5-ways-to-motivate-technical-employees
Jelly of #Linux getting a little snitch? #OpenBSD had a PoC one from @jcs for a long long while now :)

It is 2074. Copyright is no longer extended since rich people no longer die. All librarians are unseen outlaws building archives underground. This is their story.
It was one of those days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade. 🌸
@Philopolymath OpenIKED is much better http://puffysecurity.com/wiki/openikedoffshore.html
What year is it? Nelly Furtado and Jamiroquai are releasing new music. A bunch of people have jumped on some new social networking platform. Power Rangers, Beauty and The Beast, and Ghost in the Shell in movie theaters. wat.
