Emacs is currently my development IDE, my email reader, my feed reader, my MQTT client, my REST client, my kubernetes/docker workspace and, obviously, my notes/todo management system. Did I mention it is my terminal?

@benoit it is not so steep if you start by using Doom (or Spacemacs), which offer sane defaults and introduce you to the ecosystem in a friendly way. Definitely steeper than Vscode. But definitely worth it after a few weeks.

@MoskitoHero I used to use Emacs for all the things, but reverted to doing Email in Mutt or webmail. It's still the case though that a large fraction of the stuff I do happens inside of Emacs.

@MoskitoHero you should probably boot into it. I'm scared to google if emacs has a init system.
