I wasn't sure what to think about Google's standard proposal for Web Environment Integrity (what a vague and harmless-sounding name

It's pretty clear to me we must oppose this 
. Let's _not_ install killswitches in our own browsers, especially now that we're doing everything over the internet.
⎇ @Hyzual @pluralistic Yeah, that's the thing with these technologies, they always have vague technical names.
I remember SafetyNet (which is a similar, but weaker attestation API) had a super vague message saying "this device isn't android compatible" or something along those lines, which made the user think that there was something broken, when in fact it was a deliberate decision by Google.
Though it's not really a killswitch, it's more like an exclusive pass you get for using the "approved" browser. Since Google controls so much of the market they can make that pass required to participate, which means just switching to a different browser won't help you if there isn't a significant opposition movement or government intervention.
@Hyzual @pluralistic I just switched to Firefox over this decision.
