@HerraBRE A similar analogy is legal. For example, someone has a potential civil case issue that they want to pursue, they start doing a search on it on Google or ask online, they get feedback. Which I think is OK. But when it comes to the real application of it, the mileage can vary.
So, I think it's good to be aware of your own symptoms then have a professional / specialist to do the assessment which is what you are doing. Seeing or noticing the symptoms is usually the prompt for people to see someone - for example, family members are usually the ones to notice dementia symptoms before they reach out to a GP.
I've never been to a GP for these issues, so I don't know what the process ends up being but yes in Australia, you need a GP referral in some cases before getting specialist care.

... or maybe the fact that I'm recognizing what is going on means I'm nearly done with it.
I'm definitely on the mend.
I dunno. I'm used to being the one to support others, rarely the one with the issues.
But I'm also so, so tired of this temper. I want it gone. I want to laugh at stupid things, not be enraged by them.
I think I'll see someone in Iceland. I can afford it, worst case I waste some money and time.
