I see a lot people complaining about frenchies posting in french.
Well, that's actually quite rude. I don't ask people to speak french just because I can't understand their mothertongue.
But I've got a solution:
Let's talk toki pona!
toki pona is a small conlang with about 120 words that most people would manage to learn in 48 hours. It is simple yet we can still have full conversations with it.
This way everybody will be on an equality foot.
Or I can continue to shitpost in french.
@ChristianD Indeed they are !
@Erwhann Découverte du jour, tiens. On sait sur quelle famille c'est basé ?
@Prof_Comete Sur plusieurs, il y a des inspirations latines, slaves et germanique. Mais aussi du créole et du chinois.
@Erwhann ive no beef w anyone posting in any language. But what is this toki pona?
@bait toki pona is a constructed language (conlang) created by Sonja Lang in 2001.
The primary goal isn't to make an auxlang (auxiliary language of communication) like Esperanto, but it has some perks that make it good for this purpose:
- it can be learned in 48h
- its sounds are very few and different. Even if I'm talking with people with a strong german or russian accent, I still can understand them
- it's cute
- it's fun ( but I'm biased, I like learning new languages)
@Erwhann conlangs could be fun :D
