Kiva, microloans, charity
So Kiva is a microloan non-profit that funds small loans to disadvantaged businesses, mostly in impoverished countries. You loan money interest-free, you get paid back, and can loan your money again. Kiva operation costs will chip away at your fund pool, but the thing I've learned over the years is that this model makes it feel like I'm doing something while rarely putting money in. While I _am_ loaning a bank my money for free, I realized I'm not being very generous.
